Peter Lehmann was born in 1930 and is a fifth generation Lehmann born in the Barossa. His father was a minister with the parish in the Barossa. Peter left school in 1947 and became an apprentice winemaker at Yalumba training under Rudi Kronberger. The boss was Windy Hill-Smith. The winery was family owned.
