Fraternity actually formed in Sydney but moved to Adelaide shortly after recording their first album in 1971. Adelaide-raised Howe and Freeman had previously played in Levi Smith's Clefs led by Adelaide's 'King of Rock and Roll' Barrie McAskill. The band resided at Hemmings Farm near Aldgate where they would write songs.

Their version of Blackfeather's Seasons of change made the Top 40 but after spending some time in England, and a Port Road motorcyle accident to Bon Scott, this lineup of Fraternity called it quits. More information about the band can be found at the Milesago website.
