The exhibition of football put up by both teams was exceedingly good…in fact, it is doubtful if it is excelled by the city League teams.

The Moonta Mines Young Turks was a foundation club of the Yorke Peninsula Football Association, and won a number of premierships. They merged with the Moonta Football Club in 1937. Federal Rovers were based at Wallaroo Mines and disbanded in 1927.
