British-born Terence (Terry) Clark (b 1937) apprenticed as an Air Radio Fitter in the Royal Air Force. He was posted to Australia between 1959 and 1965, working first on the development of the Firestreak missile and then on the Blue Steel cruise missile. In 1967, Terry left the RAF and migrated to Australia, working at Woomera on the Jindivik radio controlled target aircraft.
From 1974–75 , Terry was the Secretary Manager of the Woomera Entertainment and Recreation Institute, responsible for organising all the town’s entertainment and recreation activities. He also worked as a photographer for the Woomera newspaper, the Gibber Gabber.
It was eerie, with the whistling wind, and the dust, and the heat, and nothing around. Terry Clarke
