The VB was the first Commodore produced by Holden. With a smaller, more European body, it was introduced to replace the Kingswood as Holden's flagship family car. Manufactured for only a short time, between November 1978 and March 1980, the VB Commodore was the Wheels magazine car of the year for 1978, and one of Australia's most popular cars of 1979.
