360 degree panorama of Adelaide taken by Townsend Duryea from the tower of the Adelaide General Post Office in 1870. The panorama consists of ten of Duryea's original photographic prints pasted in sequence onto board, starting with a scene looking north down King William Street, then turning round in a clockwise direction.
The panorama gives a bird's eye view of colonial Adelaide and the building activity of the time. The vista extends as far as the parklands. See also the Townsend Duryea panorama of Adelaide taken in 1865 from the tower of the Adelaide Town Hall.
