The song of the Scottish rifles

Author of the both the words and music of this piece, Thomas Hyland Smeaton was committed to military training and helped to develop the South Australian Scottish Infantry Commonwealth Military forces. He later became its commander. Smeaton was also a member of parliament, city councillor and architect.
