The Adelaide Orpheus Society, formed in 1888, performed at many fundraising concerts during the War. They would also appear at military camps to entertain the troops. Mr Knill, Secretary of the Society, sent out this plea for members to come to rehearsal as there were a number of concerts coming up. The Society was based at based at 22 King William Street at the time.
