Adelaide Festival of Arts, 1982

The twelfth Adelaide Festival of Arts was held 5-21 March 1982.

Programmed by Artistic Director Jim Sharman, the Festival commenced with a grand parade through the city centre followed by a concert at Elder Park, where the Grimethorpe Colliery Band, and Italian folk group Nuova Compagnia di Canto Popolare performed on a floating stage on the Torrens.

A dance performance by Pina Bausch's Tanztheater Wuppertal was another Festival highlight.
