Adelaide Festival of Arts, 1988

The fifteenth Adelaide Festival of Arts was held 4-27 March 1988.

Programmed by Artistic Director George Lascelles (Lord Harewood), the Festival was well funded, with extra financial support coming from the Australian Bicentenary Authority.

The Festival opened with an all-night staging of The Mahabharata, and other highlights included performances by Sarah Vaughan, Twyla Tharp Dance, and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
