The newspaper cutting is from the papers of  Air Vice-Marshall A.E. ('Biffy') Borton. 

Amyas Eden Borton, born 20 September 1886, served in Royal Flying Corps 1914-1918 and was the Commanding Officer and friend of Sir Ross Smith. Died 15 August 1969.

The Sunday Times was published in Sydney 1885 to 1930.
