Description

A painted metal "Jack in the music box", with handle, and cloth and plastic 'Jack' inside the box (13cmx14cmx13cm). Part of the Children's Literature Research Collection.
Music box plays the tune "Pop goes the weasel" when the handle is turned. The "Jack", in this case a clown figure, pops up at the end of the tune with the intention to surprise.
