The 'Discovery' in Commonwealth Bay on the B.A.N.Z. Antarctic Research Expedition, 1929-31. According to a researcher, if this is in fact Commonwealth Bay then the dates were from January 4th to 6th 1931 but the researcher believes that this was taken in December, 1929. Eric Douglas says "Adelie penguins looking on - 80E Long. and 65S Lat". Information from a researcher: " Commonwealth Bay was not iced up like this when BANZARE called in during Voyage 2 in 1930-31. Going by the co-ordinates of 65 degrees South and 80 degrees East the Discovery would have been off the coast of what was later named as Princess Elizabeth Land".
