Excerpt of interview with Kathleen Benger about therapy gardens. Interviewer Sally Stephenson. 3:12 minutes
Kathy talks about the benefits of the therapy garden at the Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre. How the touch, feel and smell of the plants evoke pleasant memories for the patients and encourages communication between them, the staff and volunteers. She also mentions the sense of ownership patients have over the plantings they have done and the use of therapy dogs in the garden.
