Ray Drew was born 15 November 1922 in Adelaide. He joined the Navy on 7 December 1941. After the Second World War he became a bookeeper, then an accountant, for Hardys Wines in Currie St Adelaide. Tom Hardy was the Chairman. 90% of the market was fortified wines. He retired from Hardys in 1983. He talks about the Bacchus Club, Imperial Hotel, Beefsteak and Burgundy Club - was a founding member in 1954. Marketing Manager in the mid 1960s; Marketing Director in 1969.
