Papyrus, parchment and paper : from the Rare Books Collection of the State Library of South Australia

The State Library’s Rare Books collection is a treasure trove of beauty, artistry, and skill. From our glorious 13^th century Antiphonal illuminated in gold, to books of hours from the 14^th and 15^th centuries, and leaves from an Armenian Bible from the 9^th century, this is an opportunity to come face to face with some of our state’s most beautiful treasures.

Other highlights include a beautiful Venetian binding from 1578, and a third century fragment of papyrus from Egypt.
