History/biographyElizabeth Waite, daughter of pastoralist Peter Waite, became lifelong friends with Clara Serena. Elizabeth and her brother David were board members on the ‘Serena Trust ltd”. She acted as chaperon for Clara when she won her scholarship in 1908 to the Royal College of Music, London. When she passed away in 1931 Elizabeth bequeathed £10000 to her "beloved Clara".
